Teeth Whitening: Does It Really Work?
Yes it does. Typically, you can expect a two shade improvement as measured on your dentist's shade guide.

Is It Safe?
Yes, whitening systems that are approved by recognized dental associations are both safe and effective. Some patients may experience mild gum irritation, but this stops when treatment ends.

How Does Whitening Work?
The active ingredient in most whitening systems is 10 percent carbamide peroxide (CH4N2O2), also known as urea peroxide. When water contacts this white crystal, the release of hydrogen peroxide lightens the teeth.

How long does it last?
Lightness should last from one to five months, depending on your personal habits such as smoking and drinking coffee and tea. It is not permanent and regular touch-ups are necessary.

What Whitening Methods are Available?
There are several methods including chemical and laser whitening systems used while you are in the chair, or supervised systems you can use at home.

Ask us about the options and we'll recommend the one that's right for you!
